Sir Roger Bannister Family Mile
As well as the half marathon there will be a family mile (minimum age 4) taking place at Harrow School on 13th September 2020
As we’re sure you are aware Sir Roger Bannister was the first person to break the 4 minute barrier for the 1 mile distance. You might not be aware that the same man used to train on the same fields where the family mile will take place! He lived in Butler Road then Whitmore Road and attended Vaughan Primary School.
The run will take place completely within the grounds of the school so the course will be traffic free.
The race will start at 9:20am and it will be chip timed so everyone can pitch their finish time against Sir Roger Bannister’s 3 minutes 59.4 seconds!
Everyone who completes the Sir Roger Bannister Family Mile will get a finishers medal!
The race costs £7 per person.
